As you pour your freshly brewed cup of coffee, you suddenly feel a pair of eyes watching you. You turn slowly to find your two-year-old already awake and ready to tackle the day. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but today your to-do list is about a mile long, and you’re trying to squeeze in some work before taking the other kids to school.
There are several types of calluses, but the most common ones are corns. A corn, scientifically known as “clavi,” is a small, round-shaped callus that forms on the skin, usually on the toes and fingers. Corns consist of dead skin cells and, unlike regular calluses, can become irritated when pressure is applied. Constant rubbing and pressure on corns may even lead to infection. Those with corns on their toes often experience significant pain when walking or wearing closed shoes. Fortunately, there are various treatments available, from medical procedures to natural remedies, to relieve the discomfort caused by corns.

Many tungsten carbide rings, especially poorly made ones, suffer from bad craftsmanship. One issue is the thickness of the ring. If the manufacturer doesn’t take the time to machine the ring properly, it may end up too thick or too thin. A men’s size 20.0, 8 mm wide tungsten ring should generally not be thicker than 2.3 mm. If it’s too thick, the ring will feel bulky and uncomfortable; if too thin, the edges can feel sharp and dig into your finger.

If you need to trim hedges or trees, using proper shears or a power hedge trimmer is essential. Long-handled pruners can be helpful for trees that are out of reach.
